The Canadian Academy of Engineers (CAE) has awarded WaterSMART Founder and CEO Dr. Kim Sturgess with the Léopold Nadeau Memorial Award for Distinguished Service. Dr. Sturgess was recognized for her work as president of the CAE from 2011-12 where she repositioned the strategic direction of the Academy, and where she significantly increased Western Canadian representation in the Academy.
Named after the CAE’s first Executive Director, the Léopold Nadeau award is presented annually to a Fellow of the Academy whose exemplary efforts and services further the Academy’s objectives.
